Group raising money for more Zemp improvements

A group of people are raising money for additional improvements to Camden High School’s (CHS) Zemp Stadium beyond what the November 2016 Kershaw County School District (KCSD) construction referendum will cover. The Kershaw County Board of School Trustees will hear about the fundraising effort during its meeting today at 6 p.m. in the KCSD board room. According to a memorandum dated Nov. 17 and signed by CHS Principal Dan Matthews and Athletic Director Brian Rimpf, the group is made up of Matthews, Rimpf, Camden City Councilman Stephen Smoak, Marc Jones (son of 1964 champion Bulldog football assistant coach Clyde Jones and others.
