Carolina Panthers invite NCHS to the prom
NCHS Prom Reveal
Carolina Panthers Director of Community Relations Riley Fields (right) and the Panthers' mascot, Sir Purr, announce that the NFL team would be hosting the North Central High School junior-senior prom on March 30 in Charlotte's Atrium Health Dome. Fields said this, and donations of equipment, practice uniforms and money were being donated to make up for losses the school suffered following a Jan. 11 tornado. (Martin L. Cahn/C-I)
Not quite one month after they lost their school to a tornado, North Central High School (NCHS) juniors and seniors filed into the Woolard Auditorium at their temporary home at the former Applied Technology Education Campus (ATEC). They were there, they thought, for a mandatory 12:30 p.m. meeting with Jostens, noted for its high school and college class rings.
