The groundbreaking ceremony for the expansion of Kershaw County’s new Central Carolina Technical College campus was more than just speeches, hard hats and ceremonial shovels. The ceremony, held Oct. 18, not only showcased the importance of the new campus to Kershaw County but offered a real-time example of the need for the upcoming school bond and penny sales tax referenda, noted keynote speakers and attendees. Mary Frances Branham, sophomore nursing student at CCTC, started there in spring 2016.
