As the Kershaw County School District (KCSD) moves to a 10-point grading scale, it is also having to revise its requirements for academic honor and distinguished honor graduates starting with the 2018-19 school year. Tonight, the Kershaw County Board of School Trustees will discuss proposed changes, which were drawn up by a group of guidance counselors, school administrators and district administrators. A note in tonight’s agenda states that the state’s updated requirements for ranking high school students have also been incorporated into the proposed policy revision.
