Sherri Drew, a special education teacher at Camden High School, received a hands-on education this summer about electric production during Santee Cooper’s 30th annual Energy Education Institute. Drew was among 75 educators from across the state who participated in the graduate level course, receiving classroom preparation materials while gaining new knowledge and understanding about various complex topics, including the production of electricity and the opportunities and challenges of renewable energy. The course included field experiences and tours of Santee Cooper facilities.
