Continuous Learning Center (CLC) faculty and staff dressed up in Harlem Renaissance attire during the school’s celebration of the Renaissance in New York City’s famous community.
Recently, CLC students and staff celebrated the Harlem Renaissance. ELA teacher Nancy McCulley’s students read Bad Boy by Walter Dean Myers, a novel about Myers’ Harlem childhood in the 1940s and 1950s. Myers is considered one of the strongest voices in children’s and young adult literature today.
