The Citadel honored three area students with Gold Stars for outstanding academic achievement during the spring semester of the 2016-2017 academic year. They are Tony Outlaw of Bishopville, Tierra Price of Bishopville and Trace Guy of Rembert. Gold Stars are awarded to students that achieve a 3.7 grade point average or higher in a semester.
