Kim Blackmon (front, second from left) presents a check $4,605 to Billy Newman, head of this year’s Special Olympics, in front of the Kershaw County School District (KCSD) offices on DeKalb Street in Camden. She is the daughter of Vickie and Ron Blackmon, chairman of the Kershaw County Board of School Trustees. The money was raised during the Battle of Camden Power Meet at Carolina Fitness, owned by the Blackmons.
