The Kershaw County Board of School Trustees approved the selection of five construction management at risk firms to work on 11 different projects on a list and funded by a penny sales tax voters by referenda in November’s general election. Following an executive session at the end of Tuesday night’s board meeting, members unanimously approved Trustee Todd McDonald’s motion to award the five contracts. Contract Construction Inc., with offices in Irmo and Ballentine, will build the new Lugoff and Wateree elementary schools.
