The Kershaw County Board of School Trustees recently received an official plaque honoring Jackson School for its LEED gold certification as an environmentally friendly school. Jackson is the first K-12 school in the state to be recognized at the gold level of achievement. On hand were (from left) board Chairman Joey Dorton, Jackson Principal Dr. Gerald Gary, Moseley Architects Senior Associate Jimmy Wilhide and Moseley Architects Senior Sustainability Coordinator John Nichols.
