Cool clear weather greeted more than 275 runners and walkers during Fitness Zone’s fifth annual Jingle Bell 5K Dec. 1. While the majority of participants were from Kershaw County, the event attracted runners and walkers from all over the Midlands, as well as other areas of the state. Lugoff-Elgin High School’s (L-EHS) JROTC was one of several groups to participate in the Jingle Bell 5K. Twenty cadets completed the race, marching and running throughout the entire course that wound through the streets of Lugoff.
