The Kershaw County Board of School Trustees will elect its chairman, vice chairman and chaplain during a special organizational meeting at 10 a.m. today. The board usually meets on the first and third Tuesdays of the month, but -- in accordance with state law -- holds a daytime meeting at the beginning of the year to take care of such business. Other business will be discussed and considered during the meeting, including the possible adoption of an “Ethical Principles” document from the S.C. School Board Association.
