KCSD high schools raise more than $47,500 for UWKC; Camden High School wins Caring Cup

n addition to the normal activities of a first week of school, Kershaw County School District high school students have been working together to raise funds for the United Way of Kershaw County. Overall, the students collected over $47,500 with Camden High School raising over $25,000 to earn the United Way’s Caring Cup. The announcement of the results was made at today’s Springdale 5K. This is the 8th year for the competition where students have raised close to $300,000 for the local agency which helps to feed the hungry, provide shelter for the homeless and provide financial stability for many Kershaw County residents.
