The Kershaw County School District (KCSD) recently received a nearly $400,000 U.S. Department of Education grant to expand its counseling services for elementary and middle school students. Kershaw County is the only school district in South Carolina and one of only 35 across the nation to be awarded a grant as part of a $12.3 million program to establish or expand counseling services. “School counseling services play a critical role in the well-being and safety of our students,” KCSD Superintendent Dr. Frank Morgan said.
