The Kershaw County School District (KCSD) is gearing up to use five new “much needed” handicap school buses in the coming weeks. The S.C. Department of Education (SCDOE) bought 342 brand new school buses in late December and is currently distributing the buses to school districts around the state. Each bus cost $82,030, according to SCDOE, and will help replace some of the oldest buses in the state.
