An athletic interest survey conducted by the Kershaw County School District (KCSD) as part of a voluntary resolution with the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Civil Rights (OCR) reveals that middle school girls are most interested in playing soccer. According to the survey, there was a higher level of interest in soccer at the middle school level than by high school students, according to Duane Pate, district director of pupil services. Pate presented the survey’s results to the Kershaw County Board of School Trustees during its meeting Tuesday.
