Ninety-five percent of the ratings issued this week on the South Carolina’s Annual School District Report Card for schools within the Kershaw County School District (KCSD) are “excellent,” “good” or “average.” The KCSD as a whole moved from “average” in 2011 to “good” this year, in addition to scoring an 84.5 “B” rating from the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (No Child Left Behind). A “good” report card rating means that “school performance exceeds the standards for progress toward the 2020 SC Performance Vision.”
