KCSD to consider SCDOT easement request around CHS
SCDOT Request
Long pink and short yellow lines show improvements SCDOT plans to make to the intersection of Chesnut Ferry Road Extension, Ehrenclou Drive and York Street near CHS. The intersection will be significantly shifted away from the existing roadway in an effort to make it safer in conjunction with an approved, enforceable truck route. In preparation for work connected to a proposed approved truck route in Camden, the S.C. Department of Transportation (SCDOT) is requesting a combination of temporary and permanent easements from the Kershaw County School District (KCSD) around Camden High School (CHS). Members of the Kershaw County Board of School Trustees will consider the request during its meeting Tuesday night. The board’s two meetings in May were each moved down a week after trustees agreed to meet with Kershaw County Council for a May 5 budget workshop.
