Community volunteers, businesses and organizations donated time and goods valuing more than $1.4 million to the Kershaw County School District (KCSD) for the 2011-12 school year. “One of the best things about this community is its support for our schools,” KCSD Superintendent Dr. Frank Morgan said. “We have had tremendous response over the years in terms of persons volunteering their time with our students. (During) the past few years with the loss of local and state revenue, this has been even more beneficial in helping us to continue providing meaningful learning experiences.”
