Lucas pays off Bethune, Mt. Pisgah student meal debts

S.C. House Speaker Jay Lucas, a portion of whose district covers the northeastern part of Kershaw County, announced Thursday that he and his law partner, Cody Mitchell, were sending a personal check for $1,210.45 to the Kershaw County School District (KCSD) representing the total delinquent debt associated with lunch costs for students at Bethune and Mt. Pisgah elementary schools.
