After a Chronicle-Independent story Friday reported statements made by Scott Jordan to the Kershaw County Board of School Trustees voicing his objection to what he thought was a plan to demolish Zemp Stadium in Camden if a new stadium is built near Camden High School, Board Chairperson Mara H. Jones issued the following statement via email.

“After the voters have spoken in the November election, and if the bond referendum passes, the school board is open for discussions with the community to preserve Zemp Stadium.”
