Marvin Allen graduates from UNC's CGCIO certification program

Marvin Allen of Lugoff, information technology (IT) director for Fairfield County, has successfully graduated from the 2010 Certified Government Chief Information Officers Program (CGCIO) through the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s School of Government, in partnership with the Municipal Association of South Carolina The CGCIO program is the first local government specific program for chief information officers in the nation and began in 2005. The program is designed for local government information technology directors and chief information officers whose responsibilities require a broad understanding of management, leadership, and enterprise topics. The course is approximately 240 hours in length.
