Lots of laughter and cheerful hearts graced the halls of Midway Elementary School (MES) Tuesday evening as the school celebrated its 90th anniversary with alumni and Kershaw County School District (KCSD) personnel. MES, formerly Midway High School, was built in 1923, and served the community as a high school until 1966. More than 200 people attended the celebration; some reunited with old friends and reminisced on their time at MES, some just wanted to see their old school teachers.
