Montessory donates to animal shelter
Montessori School - Shelter Donation
Andrea Walker (left, standing) and her adopted Great Pyrenees Lilly greets students at the Montessori School and accepts their generous donations to benefit the animals of Kershaw County.
(The following information was provided by the Montessori School of Camden.) At a time now, more than ever, we appreciate and realize how precious children and their teachers of our community are. With the tragedy of Sandy Hook Elementary and the holidays around the corner, we can all use a little hope -- and thanks to the Montessori School of Camden and their inspirational children and teachers, there is hope for us and the animals this holiday season. Each year the school participates in a community service project, and teachers Chrissy Muehlbauer and Meredith Hines with their infant and toddler classes, raised more than $330 for the Meyer-Thiel Animal Adoption Center and donated much needed items from the shelter’s wish list.
