Applied Technology Education Center (ATEC) Director Gordon Morris is the Kershaw County School District’s 2018-19 Principal of the Year. School and district administrators selected Gordon, who is in his fourth year as ATEC’s principal, after a vote

With 26 years in education, Morris served as ATEC’s assistant director from 2009-2014 and as an assistant principal at Lugoff-Elgin High School from 2006 to 2009. He started his educational career as a social studies teacher at North Central High School.

The district will formally recognize Morris during its annual Teacher of the Year Gala, set for April 25.
