Referenda poses major financial question to voters
Placeholder Image
On Election Day Kershaw County voters will consider a major financial decision in the form of two referenda questions: whether or not to fund a number of needed capital improvement projects for the Kershaw County School District via a bond in the amount of $129 million and whether or not to approve a one cent sales tax to help defray the cost of the bond. This list of capital projects is the second phase in the district’s long-range capital improvement plan. Phase I was started in 2005 and financed with a bond.
