School board approves legislative positions

The Kershaw County Board of School Trustees unanimously approved a set of legislative positions during its meeting Tuesday for the 2014 S.C. General Assembly. According to a memo provided to the board from Kershaw County School District (KCSD) Superintendent Dr. Frank Morgan, the board received a draft of the position at its Nov. 18, 2013 session. At the time, trustees requested additional information on Common Core standards and S.C. Gov.
