The Kershaw County School Board met in executive session during its November 15 meeting to conduct a performance evaluation of Superintendent Dr. Frank Morgan as required by Board policy and the district’s employment agreement with him. The school board returned to open session after the executive session and voted to extend Morgan’s contract until June 30, 2019. They also gave the superintendent—who has not had a raise since the 2014-15 school year—the same increase that employees received for the 2015-16 and 2016-17 school years.
