School board ready to submit referenda for ballot

It’s been nearly two months since the Kershaw County Board of School Trustees voted, 6-3, on the language to be included in two referenda it wishes to place before voters in November. One referenda would ask voters to approve an up to $129 million bond to pay for various facility upgrades and replacements. The other would ask voters to approve a 1-cent sales tax to offset a necessary increase in property tax millage to pay back the bond.
