School board to consider energy savings proposal
Trane -- a heating, ventilating and air conditions (HVAC) and building management systems/control manufacturer -- is proposing to help the Kershaw County School District (KCSD) save $6 million in energy costs during the next 15 years. The Kershaw County Board of School Trustees, will hear a presentation on the proposal and consider voting tonight during its only meeting for December. According to an advance copy of the proposal attached to tonight’s agenda, Trane believes the project would not only improve the district’s schools and other facilities, but also the learning environment for its students.
