Tonight, the Kershaw County Board of School Trustees will discuss safety-related athletic needs and a draft of a timeline to develop a possible 2016 referendum proposal for facility upgrades across the county At its last meeting two weeks ago, the board asked Kershaw County School District (KCSD) administrators to draft a list of possible safety-related needs at the district’s high school athletic facilities. Those needs -- potentially costing nearly $2 million -- will be presented during tonight’s meeting. Nearly half of the cost of meeting those needs would go to Camden High School’s Zemp Stadium, according to a draft of the proposal attached to tonight’s agenda.
