Tonight, Kershaw County School District (KCSD) Superintendent Dr. Frank Morgan and KCSD Chief Financial Officer Donnie Wilson are scheduled to make a report to the Kershaw County Board of School Trustees on projected enrollment growth and local funding. Pulling information from the county’s Vision 2030 report, a PowerPoint-type slide attached to tonight’s proposed agenda projects the county’s overall population will surge to 72,000 by the year 2030 -- just 13 years away. That, the slide notes, will represent a 38 percent increase from the 2000 Census when the county’s population was 52,647.
