Kershaw County School District (KCSD) Superintendent Dr. Frank Morgan and CFO Donnie Wilson will lead a preliminary discussion of the district’s 2015-2016 budget at a Kershaw County Board of School Trustees meeting set for Tuesday evening.
The discussion will provide an overview of issues impacting the development of the budget, including key factors such as state and local revenue, projected enrollment, increases in fixed costs, restoring frozen salaries and line items cut during the economic downturn, and facilities. Morgan and Wilson also plan to review the budget development process with the board.
The board will also vote on drafted legislative positions on funding and 4K programs discussed at its Jan. 13 meeting.
Tuesday’s meeting will begin at a special time, 6:30 p.m., at the district office and is open to the public.
