The Kershaw County Board of School Trustees, likely along with Kershaw County School District (KCSD) Superintendent Dr. Frank Morgan and Chief Financial Officer Donnie Wilson, will present its preliminary budget to Kershaw County Council tonight. When they do, trustees representing the board will likely ask council members to consider forming a subcommittee to meet with counterparts from the school board to discuss school resource officer (SRO) funding and how to meet ever increasing student enrollment. Trustees discussed forming a subcommittee made up of Chairman Ron Blackmon and trustees Matt Irick, Todd McDonald and Mark Sury during its meeting a week ago.
