School trustees pick employee compensation as top priority

As one of the earliest steps in creating an operational budget for the 2015-16 school year, members of the Kershaw County Board of School Trustees each picked their top two priorities when it comes to finances. Overwhelmingly, trustees chose “teacher compensation” or “overall compensation” as their top picks. The discussion took place during the board’s meeting Tuesday at Wateree Elementary School (WES) in Lugoff.
