Teachers ready for new school year
Students return to classes Monday

Half of the Kershaw County School Districts approximately 800 new and returning teachers enjoy lunch in Lugoff-Elgin High Schools cafeteria during the districts instructional fair on Tuesday. The other teachers heard a keynote teacher in the schools auditorium. They participated in break-out sessions throughout the day on instructional and other student-related topics. Approximately 800 teachers returned to Kershaw County schools or joined them for the first time this week, not only preparing their classrooms, but preparing themselves for a new school year. Students will return to classes Monday. Tuesday, those hundreds of teachers flocked to Lugoff-Elgin High School (L-EHS) for the Kershaw County School District’s (KCSD) annual instructional fair.
