Trustees recognize schools, marching band
Giana Smith
Camden Middle School student Giana Smith holds up a plaque from the American Heart Association for being chosen as Kershaw County’s Heart Hero when she attended Pine Tree Elementary School last school year. Giana and her family were the ninth-highest fundraisers in the state for heart and brain research. The Kershaw County Board of School Trustees recognized three schools honored by the American Heart Association, along with North Central High School’s marching band and all of the Kershaw County School District’s (KCSD) school kitchens during its meeting Tuesday night.
