Two Lugoff-Elgin High School (L-EHS) students, Brett Jacobs and Mark Sury, are among 92 South Carolina high school students recently recognized by Boeing, BMW and the S.C. Manufacturers Alliance (SCMA) at the second annual S.C. STEM Signing Day. Created by Boeing a year ago, STEM Signing Day recognizes students from across the state who have pursued STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) education during their high school years and who plan to continue their STEM education at two- and four-year colleges. According to an alliance press release, students were identified through the S.C. Future Makers initiative using the STEM Premier platform.
