Upchurch and Jowers named KCSD Friend of Education

The Kerhaw County Board of School Trustees recently recognized Upchurch and Jowers Inurance Agency as a Friend in Eduation. Since 1996, the company has sponsored the All-County Academic Team, honoring more than 600 Kershaw County School District seniors for their academic achievement. Part of the program’s recognition includes full page ads in the Chronicle-Independent with the seniors’ photos as well as plaques with all the students’ names that are hung in the district’s offices.
