The United Way of Kershaw County’s Hand in Hand Together mentoring program is gearing up for another year of encouraging and guiding Kershaw County School District (KCSD) students through the KCSD’s Safe Schools/Health Students grant. Hand in Hand provides mentors to act as everything from academic guides to confidants for fifth- through eighth-grade students. Mentors are able to visit students during the school day and/or interact with them personally throughout the week to help foster student development.
