Students at Camden and Jackson elementary schools can take fewer trips to the library this summer since the S.C. Department of Education (DOE) gave students at both schools nine books each. S.C. Superintendent Mick Zais visited the Kershaw County School District (KCSD) schools May 21 as a part of the DOE’s summer reading program. KCSD Superintendent Dr. Frank Morgan said the increase in non-fiction options fits right in line with new Common Core standards.
