CMC aims to reach more students through telehealth
Community Medical Clinic of Kershaw County (CMC) Nurse Practitioner Kim Cogdill appears on telehealth screen while testing the new equipment with CMC Nurse Bethany Gilliland (inset at lower right). The new telehealth carts are being used to expand the CMC’s capability to provide services to Camden, Lugoff-Elgin and North Central high school students who would otherwise have to leave school for acute needs.
After expanding School-Based Health Centers (SBHC) to all Kershaw County School District (KCSD) high schools this fall, the Community Medical Clinic of Kershaw County (CMC) is rolling out “Telehealth” services to further expand its capacity to provide immediate medical care for students that would otherwise need to leave school for an acute need.
