Construction for new Karesh facility to start in January
Nursing home could open early 2023
Derial Ogburn at Beechwood
Health Services District of Kershaw County (HSDKC) Board of Trustees Chairman Derial Ogburn stands in front of Beechwood, which the HSDKC is in the midst of renovating as it moves ahead with plans to construct a new Karesh Long-Term Care Center on the approximately 65-acre property. As part of its approval, the board also authorized the expansion of the project’s utility infrastructure footprint to include an area where future assisted and independent living units may be built. Construction on the new Karesh center should start in January, with the facility hopefully opening by early 2023. (Martin L. Cahn/C-I)
Anyone who’s been wondering when the new Karesh Long-Term Care Center might open after it’s built at the former Beechwood property might be interested to hear groundbreaking should happen as soon as January, with construction scheduled to take up to two years. That would mean it could open for business in early 2023, possibly sooner if construction moves faster than expected.
