DeKalb man is Kershaw County’s 11th COVID death

An African American man in his 80s from the DeKalb community south of Westville is the 11th Kershaw County resident to pass away from the COVID-19 novel coronavirus. According to Kershaw County Coroner David West, the man died Wednesday and suffered from underlying conditions. West said the man died at KershawHealth, making him only the second county resident to pass away from the coronavirus inside Kershaw County.
