Monday’s KershawHealth Board of Trustees meeting started off with a generous gift from its Hospital Auxiliary. At the end of a presentation on the auxiliary’s purpose and activities, Auxiliary President Mary Clark had Auxiliary Treasurer Pat Godwin hand over a $30,000 check to interim KershawHealth CEO Terry Gunn to cover construction costs associated with the healthcare organization’s Express Care emergency department project. From 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., Express Care serves as an alternative to the emergency department for those with urgent, but not life-threatening, conditions.
