Community leaders joined Sandhill Medical Foundation Inc. (SMF) representatives on Tuesday to celebrate the groundbreaking of a 13,000 square foot expansion of its Lugoff medical office located at 40 Baldwin Drive. SMF is an Federally Qualified Healthcare Center, or FQHC, that offers primary care in a premier doctor’s office setting and has eight offices including locations in Lugoff, Camden, and Bethune. SMF works on a sliding fee scale, which means low-income patients always have access to quality healthcare.
