Slow Down, Give Room: New bicycle/pedestrian road safety campaign launches in Kershaw County
Safety Program
Kershaw County Sheriff Lee Boan (far right) and a S.C. Highway Patrol trooper (far left) join Kershaw County Runners, Walkers & Cyclists founder Fiona Martin and her husband in front the Kershaw County Law Enforcement Center in Lugoff as they kick off a new bicycle and pedestrian safety campaign called “Slow Down. Give Room.”
The Kershaw County Runners, Walkers, & Cyclists are excited to launch a countywide road safety campaign this winter. With grant money from Eat Smart, Move More Kershaw County and KC Trails, the citizen advocacy group is launching a yard sign campaign asking drivers to “Slow Down, Give Room” when around runners, walkers, or cyclists.
