Arts Center lights up in red for #WeMakeEvents
Arts Center in Red
The Arts Center of Kershaw County’s Daniels Education Building is lit in red Tuesday night as part of a national #WeMakeEvents campaign to drum up support of the RESTART Act that would extend the PPP government program from earlier this year to assist businesses -- including in the entertainment/event industry -- to deal with the economic impacts of the COVID-19 novel coronavirus pandemic. The lights were installed by Camden’s Mac Mosier, who has set up stage lighting for acts as diverse as Madonna, Prince, Chris Stapleton and James Taylor. (Martin L. Cahn/C-I)
The Arts Center of Kershaw County had itself lit up in red Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday as part of a national #WeMakeEvents campaign supporting a proposed bill moving through Congress called The RESTART Act. The lights were supposed to be on only from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Tuesday, but the center decided to leave them up through Thursday night.
