Arts Center to reopen Sept. 17 with new, revamped programming
Arts Center of Kershaw County campus
The Arts Center of Kershaw County campus on Lyttleton Street in Camden. The center has been closed for six months due to the COVID-19 novel coronavirus pandemic, but plans to reopen Sept. 17 -- using government guidelines on face coverings, social distancing and more -- with a new art exhibit in the Bassett Gallery. That will be followed by a virtual production of The Big Bad Musical, new in-person classes, the return of Finally Fridays, and the return of Camden’s own Claire Bryant. (Martin L. Cahn/C-I)
After six months of being closed due to the COVID-19 novel coronavirus pandemic, the Arts Center of Kershaw County is planning a new season with a new vision: the Reawakening of the Arts. The Bassett Gallery will reopen on Sept. 17 with an exhibit entitled Through it all, I RISE! by South Carolina artist, Keith Tolen. Keith’s intention for the exhibit is to propose that even in the darkest of times, hope will prevail.
