Bethune honors Carroll King
King Proclamation
Bethune Mayor Charles McCoy (right) presents a copy of a proclamation to Carroll “Bubba” Grady King Jr. during Bethune Town Council’s November. The document posthumously proclaims Oct. 13 as Carroll Grady King Day in honor of King’s father, who passed away Oct. 11 at the age of 101.
In November, Bethune Town Council posthumously proclaimed Oct. 13 as Carroll Grady King Day. King, who turned 101 on Aug. 23, was born in 1919 to the late Henry G. and Carrie Tiller King. He passed away on Oct. 11.
